Review: Satellite Eyes

I love the OSX operating system and the Mac as a whole and the reason is once in a while above the usability, the functionality and the great media apps a utility app comes along which is so out of the box it’s great.

Satellite Eyes is just such an app.

This is a simple application and a simple idea downloaded from the application sits in the taskbar and sends out a location request. Once the app has figured out just where you it replaces the wallpaper with a satellite image of the location.

The location will change (if it needs to) each time you restart the mac of prompt the menubar icon to update..

It’s using Bing Maps rather than google and can provide street, neighbourhood, area level maps and so far has been very quick and very accurate.
